One Tree Planted Per Order

As a sticker shop I realize the majority of our products are paper, including the packaging. To give back, we are planting one tree per order!
This will be done through One Tree Planted a non-profit organization focused on global reforestation.
There are a number of areas in the world where One Tree Planted plants trees including Asia, Africa, Latin America and North America. I am choosing to plant in British Columbia, Canada. Why in British Columbia? Last year, 1,351,314 hectares (3,339,170 acres) had burned in British Columbia as of November 9, 2018. I personally took a trip to BC in 2016. The mountains were lush and green with trees, but this summer I saw large areas of bare rock and burnt tree trunks.
This is a way we can both give back to Mother Nature. These reforestation projects help the planet, they also give jobs to local communities, and provide homes to wildlife.

A bit more information from

One Tree Planted is a non-profit organization created by Matt Hill as a non-profit in Shelburne, Vermont in 2014. We are a public 501(c)(3) charityWe partner with carefully selected reforestation organizations in 4 regions: North America, Latin America, Africa, and Asia. You can choose a project to donate to within in each region – one dollar plants one tree. We pool the donations for each project and send the funds to our reforestation partner, enabling them to cover the costs required to get these trees in the ground.

How is a tree planted for $1?
Tree costs vary based on region and partner. Here is a quick and easy cost breakdown of how we get one tree planted in an average region:

$.50 -.85 for one tree sapling to be grown at a nursery
$.20 - $.30 per tree to be planted
$.08 - $.20 per tree average with transport costs, material costs
$.10 - $.22 ongoing maintenance of trees
$.12 - $.15 operating costs
$.03 - $.05 credit card processing fees, transaction costs

When will the trees be planted?
The time between your donation and the actual tree planting will vary depending on the region you have chosen and the time of year. Planting usually happens during the rainy season, when the soil provides optimum conditions for tree survival.

How do I know if my trees are being planted?
I will receive updates directly from the organization with information and photos detailing the tree species, expected survival rates, and ecological benefits. And I will be sharing updates on my social media @behappyplans.
